The Worst Dog Food Brands On The Market

By Eula Nichols

Expanding a family doesn't only come in the form of having children, but also when people adopt pets. Bringing home a puppy is an exciting time, but although the puppy will grow, it will stay at the comparable level of a two-year-old child for all its life. Of course, that simply means that owners have a huge responsibility for the next decade, or so. Along with that, they must consider lifestyle changes and the pet nutrition, a key factor in the condition and longevity of the new family member. Having said that, it's important to discover the hazards of the worst dog food brands on the market.

Whether fully grown or still a pup, nutrition is key to staying healthy, just like it is for human beings. What they ingest must give them all the nutrients necessary to feed their brains and bodies accordingly. In doing so, it will ensure good health, continual strength, and longevity.

Of course, it doesn't end there, as exercise is a huge factor when it comes to health. The same is true for human beings who need to exercise and move about to maintain good health. The bottom line is that both humans and dogs alike must get their exercise, get their rest, and eat right.

People obviously need different nutrients than do our canine friends, for optimum health. Walking into a grocery store or pet store will prove that there are numerous brands and blends that a pet owner can pick from. However, this decision must be made carefully.

Those that are extremely inexpensive should be the ones that sound the alarms. Manufacturers that sell their blends for double or triple the cost don't do so for unknown reasons. The fact remains, the more expensive brands usually have that are quality ingredients in them, and he inexpensive ones may be questionable.

Basically, they could be compared to our own foods. If people eat processed foods on a daily basis, there will be consequences. For one thing, there will be weight gain, but that's just the beginning. Aside from that, vital organs will be stressed, and begin to deteriorate. Chronic diseases may ensue.

Well, that's exactly what will happen to dogs that eat from the inexpensive large economy size bags that are readily available. More than anything, they are usually made with fillers and lack extensively in quality ingredients, and of course, any important nutrients. If those do exist, they are quite minimal, so the pet's health is put at risk.

Some of the worst dog food brands on the market have been on the news because they contained very questionable, in edible ingredients. Being made abroad, in an effort to save lots of money in production, and ultimately make more in profits, manufacturers were caught with their hands in their pockets. These ingredients could not only make dogs very ill, but it could even kill them. Feeding them right will reduce visits to the vet, which will save lots of money, and your pet can give you love and companionship for longer.
