By Raymond Carter

People love puppies because of their cuteness. They adore them, especially the dog lovers. When you look at one, it makes you to want to cuddle them and never let go. You have this desire to become a foster owner to them or even adopt them. Online sites and pet shops have bichon puppies for sale which might interest you.

White poufy fur that stands out is common in bichon frise. This breed stands not more than a foot. Despite being small, they have quirky and jolly personalities and good disposition. This makes them a perfect companion dog to have. At times, some people mistakenly identify them as poodles.

Shedding fur is not in the nature of this breed. Thus, this is one of the reasons why people with allergies love to have them. They are dubbed as hypoallergenic. However, it is still good for them to talk to their doctors and spend time with the puppy before making the commitment.

This breed need constant love, affection, and attention from you. Socializing with you as well as your family is how they show theirs in return. Playing outside can help them adjust in being left alone for a while. They can get distracted with their friends and playmates.

Separation anxiety is a serious issue in their mental and emotional state. They cannot be left alone for longer periods. They need your commitment to always be there for them and to come home sooner when you have other engagements to tend to. If you cannot do this, then it would be best that you do not get a dog of this breed.

Active is an appropriate word to describe these fluffy creatures. They love to play and run around inside and outside the house. The phrase he is a lover, not a fighter really does describe them being social butterflies. Strangers are not treated differently from their owners. In fact, these people are just friends they have not yet met and acquainted with.

Nutrition is where they take their energy and nutrients from. Hence, a high quality dog food or home prepared meals are best for them. In home prepared meals, make sure that you have asked the advice of your veterinarian on that. Ensure also to keep their diet balanced because despite their small stature, they are more prone to getting overweight.

Speak with your veterinarian as well in regards to their health. They sometimes get sick like humans and at times, they are prone to more serious diseases. It is important that you know the health risks that their breed is usually prone to. Allergies, juvenile cataracts, bladder infections, patellar luxation, and vaccination sensitivity are some of the issues they may encounter.

It is necessary to groom them. Keep it regular and on a schedule. At least once a month, you will bathe them. Clip their nails so you do not get scratched regularly. Their fur needs to be brushed at least twice or thrice in a week but it is better to do it every day. You do not need to go to grooming centers to do all these. You just need to show your pet how and they will learn eventually that these are part of their grooming ritual.
