Royal Poodles Make For Excellent Family Pets

For many people, their lives seem simply empty without an animal by their side. For those with an affinity to dogs, there are many options to choose from. This means that before you go out and buy a pup you need to take a few things into consideration, such as the best breed suited for you, the area you have at home as well as how much time you are prepared to put into your pooch. Royal poodles are wonderful dogs and make fantastic pets, however do require a lot of attention, so if you are looking for a pooch to fuss over, then this super canine is ideal for you.

When looking at getting a dog, one needs to consider the size, as you do not want a pooch you cannot control. If you have the space for a big breed, then your options are limitless. Should you be limited to space you may want to get a pup that will cope with a smaller living area.

Another thing to consider is how much exercise your dog will need. If you live in an apartment and are limited to garden space you would have to take your pup out for regular walks in the park. This means that you would have to take him out at least three times a day in order for your pooch to get the required exercise.

Many people who are looking for a dog are led to the poodle. This breed is highly intelligent and make perfect companions. These dogs come in different sizes, with the teacup type being very popular. The royal or standard variety has also made its mark, especially when it comes to the show ring.

Many people are so interested in this breed that they decide to get a show quality dog that they take into the ring. This is a great and exciting thing to get involved in as it is fun for the owner as well as the dog. Due to their intelligence, poodles have much success in the arena and have been known to walk away with the judges' hearts.

When you decide to show your poodle, it is a good idea to spend some time looking at the different clippings that are permitted in the show ring. These dogs need a lot of attention but it is all worth the effort when your pooch walks out of the ring with that rosette. These canines also seem to enjoy attention and the bond that they form with their owners becomes quite strong.

Royal poodles come in solid black, brown, gray, fawn and red. Their fur is curly and like with most other canines, they shed twice a year. Their ears are flat and their tails hang at rest. The standard poodle is the oldest of the breed and stands up to 27 inches tall. The teacups are the smallest of the breed and are simply a bundle of cuteness.
