Finding The Best Cavachons For Sale

By Leticia Jensen

Designer dog breeds are springing up everywhere and of every make and model you can imagine. Reportedly they are the answer to the inherent health problems found in pure bred dogs because they are bred in such a way as to not transfer the issues to the mixes. Other sources imply that the reason for the cross breeding is to provide people with something unique that hopefully will be as cute as its name.

What you will find is a puppy that looks like he belongs on a greeting card. With enormous eyes and ears that nearly drag the floor he can enchant everyone who sees him. The puppies are colored white with patches of color especially around the eyes. The bichon side of the breed helps to make their coats of a nature that is non-allergenic to people and this is an asset for many owners.

They are very athletic and love to play with kids or other dogs. They will also get along fine with your cat should you have one. Their general disposition can be verified if you read the statistics on the breeds that contribute to their linage. The lines of both contributors will tell you of smart, gentle personalities you can expect from this puppy as an adult.

Because of the texture and length of their coats they will need to be groomed every six weeks and a trim is recommended in between appointments. The coat may be curly or long and wavy and will need to be brushed regularly. This breed is well known for its excellent health but many note that a heart and eye check up is warranted just in case of a problem. These dogs are smart and active so both physical and mental stimulation is important to keep them out of trouble.

In Kent, Ohio there are several breeders that specialize in this type of dog. Some have refined the breed to maintain all the best aspects of contributing breeds and eliminate any problems they may have. They have intricate information on the size, life spans and intelligence of these animals. They also have expert advice on the needs and care issues you may encounter with this dog.

The puppies found here are family raised with socialization with people, children and other dogs. They are not the tightly wound, energetic little barking machines that come from some breeders. You can anticipate a well adjusted, easily trained puppy that will probably be house broken when you take him home.

Not every puppy in a litter of designer dogs will have the same build or coat as it's siblings. Some may be smaller or their coats will be different in texture. They can be compared to a family in that they will be enough alike that you know they are related but they will have their own distinctive look when grown.

Many designer dogs are bred specifically for people who have smaller living spaces. Apartment or condominium life is perfect for the cavachon. They are just as happy being a lap dog and constant companion as they are outside for their daily romp and exercise. They may be one of the best companions ever created.
