She should have already heated at least twice in her lifetime and should be at least 18 months old. She should also be coming from disease free and defect free descendants. This will protect the breed from any genetic issues for the coming generations. Consequently, once a breeding error is done in the present breed, it can take years for it to be corrected.

This is the reason you should have full commitment when breeding bulldogs. It will require full attention once your female gets pregnant and the weeks during that time frame. You should be ready to adjust with certain aggressive behaviors that your dog might project during pregnancy.
