Getting Cstuom Dog Portraits Made Of Your Furry Friend

By Jody Leach

A lot of people look at their dogs and see a family member not just a pet or a dog. It's actually pretty common for someone to get custom dog portraits done. Families are always getting portraits made of their children and themselves. If you have a dog who is part of your family then he should be included in the portrait too.

Some people choose to have their dog put into the family portrait while other people choose to have their beloved dog put into a portrait by themselves. There are even some families that have the dog in the family photo and have one done of just the dog by himself. There are professional photographers all over the world that only take portraits of family pets.

Some people like to dress their pups in cute outfits but you don't have to, it's completely up to you. You can choose the background that the portrait is taken on. If your doing it in a studio or in your home and you are using a backdrop you want to pick one that will look good with your dogs natural coloring. You can also choose to do the picture in a natural setting like outside or somewhere in your home without a backdrop.

If you have a little dog that has a favorite toy, you could have his or her portrait taken with the toy he loves so much. If you have a big dog that loves to run outside you can have a portrait made of him outside in his favorite place to be.

You want to capture who they are just like with a person, they have their own personality. Dogs can be silly, grumpy, loving, and even stingy. They all have different personalities and you want that personality to show through in their portrait. There are pet photographers that spend their professional lives learning how to take the perfect picture of your beloved dog.

If you have a four legged friend that has passed away but you still would like a picture to hang up of them to remember them by you can find someone that is able to paint portraits from a picture and have a beautiful hand painted canvas portrait of your deceased dog. Dogs are more than just pets, they are our friends and companions. So when they are gone we miss them just like we would a human friend.

In order to remember your deceased dog you should have a portrait hanging on your wall in memory of your friend. You can get a portrait done while they are still with you so that if something happens then you have it, but if they die before you get a picture done you can have someone paint you one.

Custom portraits help you hold on to your memories. Most of them you see in peoples homes will show the whole family but you do not usually see the family dog. The family dog is part of the family and should be included. Some people have more than one dog, in a case like this you could have a portrait done of all the dogs in one photo or you can do individual shots of each dog. You could also put them in with the family since they are part of the family.
