This Is Why Buying The Egyptian Mau For Sale Is A Good Idea

By Ruth Sullivan

Pets are always a great idea. It does not matter if one prefers a dog or a cat, or something else. While dogs can be just the cutest and kindest domestic animal, there is also some good that comes out of owning a cat. Contrary to popular belief, cats are very loving, most people just do not understand how they show love.

Felines lick themselves, their way of taking a bath, so there is no need to worry about making sure they are clean. Buy the Egyptian Mau for sale at the local store. They make great pets since they are friendlier than other breeds like the more aloof American wirehair.

Cats, like people, have a personality and can vary depending on breed. Maus are known for being friendly and loyal compared to the more common aloof and distant personality trait felines are known for. They tend to get attached to family members especially if the family has raised them since they were a kitten.

Playful and very curious, this breed is a lot of fun around. If one is not the type to play actively with pets then it is best to think twice about getting this type of cat. Lost toys and scratches are the usual consequences of play time with these creatures. It is all in good fun though.

Maus are endearing and they expect to be an integral part of the family. They have a special person in the family that they are especially territorial of. They can be a sensitive and people oriented bunch, but they like being possessive with their humans. Shoulder riding and wake up calls from the pet is an expected occurrence when they like being around the person.

This breed lives at an average nine to thirteen years. They weigh moderately and are small compared to the furry Maine Coons. Them being short haired means there is not a lot of shedding. Still, it is best to have a lint roller around. Maus like getting pet and resting on the lap of their owner. This is how they bond with their humans.

Grooming does not have to be such a chore with the short hair types. All the owners need to do are nail cutting, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. Since they are a very playful bunch, it best to make sure nails are cut regularly or arms are in the risk of many battle scars from play time. Consult the vet for the right toothpaste to use. Let the cat get used to being groomed at an early age so there will be no difficulty in the future.

The first and second years are dedicated to vaccinations and going to the veterinarian. Deworming and spaying are best done early. Spaying may also remedy unusual feline wandering and aggression. While some vaccinations are optional, remember rabies shots are a requirement by law.

A change in personal habits can occur when owning a Mau. Slowly, finances may be spent on pet food and litter and other toys and the whole thing is like having a child. Owners would eventually argue that it is all worth it. It is great how felines are low maintenance and are perfect for people who cannot be bothered to walk a pet outside and interact with people who would like to pet them.
