By Edward Foster

Nothing is more exciting than going home to find, beautiful pets waiting for you and wagging their tails to welcome you. Pets, particularly cats are so adorable to live with. They offer love and companionship that can never be matched with other pets. They are also gentle and cute making them even more adorable. However, if you are to keep a happy cat, you have to make sure that you take good care of her. You also need to take time to make sure that you find the right Siberian kitten for sale

You need to begin by knowing the type of a cat that you want. There are many breeds of cats, and choosing the right one for you is very important. However, you need to make sure that you do not separate the kitten from the mother cat before she is weaned. Remember that kittens require the milk from their mother during the early stages of their lives. Ensure that the cat that you buy is old enough to live without her mothers.

Before you bring the pet home, it is imperative to prepare your home. You should make sure that your home is cat proof. This means that you may need to clean your house and put away some item, medicine and any other things that you would not want broken.

Get to know the different types of supplies that you will require to ensure comfort of the cats while at home. Some of the things you should not fail to have include, brush, comb, blanket or soft bed, hiding places, kitten food, food and water bowl, cat litter, and a litter box. You should also prepare with family members to host the new pet.

Also, keep the room of the pet ready before she arrives. Set a place where they can relax and unwind first. Also, place some food and water in the room that the cats can feed on. You should also have a liter tray and safe hiding place for the cats. Leave her in the room for few hours to give her time to acclimatize.

Kittens love to play. Have some time to play with your cat. Buy some toys for the cat. Remember that cats learn how to hunt while they are three to six months old. Ensure that you give the cat space to learn this.

Also, you need to make sure that your cat does not shrink every time she hears sounds. For instance, some cats may freak out at the sound of water pouring from the faucet, or at the tune of mistake on your CD. You should expose the pet to all the experiences and sounds you think can scare her.

Also, be careful while feeding the kitten. It is certain that most people will give different types of foods to their kittens. However, you need to make sure that you feed the kittens with same food they were feeding on before you bought them. You can then with time introduce different type of food.
