Yummy All Natural Dog Treats Do Exist!

It was only a couple of years ago that it was found that some popular dog treats contained antibiotics that were harmful to pets. Dog owners may be surprised to know that their furry friends actually do like fresh fruits and veggies. However, every produce isn't for all animals. It's not hard to see why one of these beloved vegetables would be carrots. Carrots are definitely a doggy favorite due to their crunchy texture and natural sweetness. These crunchy snacks also act as a great detergent for the teeth keeping a dog's teeth nice and clean!

Another winner in a dog's snack book are apples. These fruits are great for humans in keeping them healthy and away from the doctor, so there's no telling what they can do for Rover! Individuals just need to purchase those that are organic in nature in order to avoid harmful pesticides.

One vegetable that's really surprising that dogs like is kale. They seem to enjoy it whether it's uncooked or cooked. This used to be meal garnish contains compounds that fight against cancer. It helps in keeping pets and humans healthy alike!

One vegetable that lures dogs into the garden is squash. Dogs love the texture and just the right amount of sweet that is found in this vegetable. It is very similar to the pumpkin, which is great for digestion. It is known as being an equalizer because it helps dogs that are constipated to develop looser stools. Being the owner of a constipated dog is no fun at all!

There are some green vegetables that appeal to dogs as well. These often include green beans, cucumbers, and zucchini. Green beans, however, are known for their toxicity and should be given in lower levels. Cucumbers and zucchini should be sliced, peeled, and given in consumable portions.

Last but not least, eggs are great to snack on. They have been given a bad rep over the years for causing cholesterol. However, they have a healthy balance of proteins, fats, and nutrients.
