Information To Know Regarding Cavachons

By Ericka Marsh

Many people are proud owners of dogs. These pets are considered good companions for humans. Many different breeds of dog exist. Some of these are pure and others are a mix. In any case, the animals come with different personalities, sizes and shapes. Some may be interested in getting a designer dog, such as Cavachons. This is not pure bred. Instead, it is the mix of breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with Bichon Frise dogs.

This breed is known for being sweet tempered and fluffy in appearance. Because this is not a pure breed, no standard is set for these animals. They vary in some respects, but there are certain guidelines that people can consider when determining what this breed should be like.

These dogs are small, which may be of benefit to those who travel a lot via RV or live in spaces that are small. As fully grown dogs, they are usually no larger than 13 inches high. Their coats are soft and silky with a slight wave pattern. Most dogs are white with black and tan markings, white and black, apricot and white or solid white.

People who want a guard dog should consider a different breed. These are designer dogs that are not aggressive at all. The majority of them are accepting, gentle and tolerant. For this reason, they make great pets for families and also in households where there are other animals.

Typically the dogs are energetic but are not overly active. It is important that they receive daily exercise in order to help them release this energy and stay healthy. Owners are encouraged to walk them daily, and engage in activities that provide them some stimulation, such as fetch.

These animals generally have loving personalities that their owners will adore. In fact, they are known to form strong and close bonds with owners. They crave companionship and attention, which is why it is recommended that pet owners do their best to be attentive.

It is suggested that people do as much research as they can to learn about these animals and what they require. When they are young, they are especially small and require a lot of love and care in their forever home. Most pups will weight under five pounds and will need to be handled with extreme care. Training is also essential while the dogs are at a young age, especially those expected to be indoor pets. The puppies are smart and catch on quickly. Pet owners need to be consistent to see results with training. When possible, the training needs to be done when a dog is young in order to see the best results.

When it comes to choosing a dog, people should look for healthy dogs. They should show no signs of sickness, whether they are old or puppies. Breeders say that these animals are hypoallergenic, which is why they have the designer dog label. This means they are not as likely to create an allergic response in people who are sensitive to dander. Still, each individual is different and may have his or her own unique response to being around these dogs.
