There Are Quite A Few English Bulldogs For Sale Out There

By Ryan Perry

Taking on the responsibility of becoming a pet owner is not something that should be taken likely. Any individual that decides that they are going to become the new owners of a dog should be aware that it's a serious role. There are many different dogs to adopt and no matter what the public says one of the friendliest dogs are the English bulldogs for sale.

With a low deposition level these dogs have a sweet personality. They are very reliable and are great with children. Another great point about them is the low maintenance they require, little need for entertainment with no want for exercise.

These dogs can weight anything from 50-60 Ibs depending on the sex. They have plenty of wrinkles in their small faces and can grow up to 17in in height. With their short coat and tiger stripe, white, brown and red stripes, these dogs are not as messy as most. Never the less, proper grooming and care must be taken at all times, as you would most certainly want this excellent pet and beloved family member to feel and look as good as possible.

As they are not sporting dogs at all their placid personality goes well with big or small families that welcome them home. Bred however for bull baiting, these dogs can be great watch dogs. This also makes them a little aggressive when with other dogs as they are territorial.

English bulldogs can be housed in any apartment as they do not need a garden to run around in. The biggest problem however, is that this dog should not be taken home with an owner who enjoys sleeping, as this will not be a good match, known for their loud snoring and heavy breathing this dog will certainly keep anyone up. They are very noisy sleepers.

Should this dog be chosen as a pet and taken home, it will not have a huge impact on the average Joe's life besides a few restless nights. Puppies are frisky while the adult dog will most likely be found on the sofa for more than half of the day lazing around. As a great addition to any family especially one with kids this dog will bring love to any home it's brought into.

Mated for participation in the sport of bull baiting, these animals come from the Isles of Britain. A take that is told dating back to 1209 is one of a vicious English bulldog that chased a bull throughout the streets of the English town in Stamford. This impressed the earl of the town at the time so much that he turned this into an official sport for years to come.

Something that should not be forgotten however with any pet that is taken home is the fact that dogs are great friendly and always loyal to their owner, however they are animals and are to be taken care of. They are not an easy task big or small, adopting a pet as a big responsibility, from vaccinations to cleaning up puppy poop there is plenty of work that goes into buying a dog. Poodles to English bulldogs, all animals are living beings, not toys.
