Blue French Bulldog Puppies Are In Demand

By Edward Williams

Skin color is what makes these puppies different. The blue skin color is thought to be caused a condition called alopecia but its due to genetics. The breeder associations are wary of this breed because they may not be the healthiest of animals. The breed is not bought to display in shows. However, the fact that they are cute, affectionate little dogs is what makes Blue French Bulldog puppies desirable.

When it comes to temperament, dogs of this breed do not make good watchdogs. Despite their masculine build, they are needy, breathe loudly, have a few strange habits and get sick more often than some other dogs. They are also small, love to be at home, and very affectionate making them the best of companions. The cuteness of the breed means they draw plenty of attention.

This breed is particularly vulnerable to allergies, especially skin allergies. They will often get rashes and puffy eyes. They can also be allergic to certain foods and do better on a diet with fewer, ingredients that are organic. Their curved, short spines are also subject to injuries and jumping off couches may be enough to make a visit to the vet necessary.

A dog of this breed does not like to be dirty and they are rather prissy, preferring to stay clean at all times. This means that they do not have to be bathed as often. Their flat, little faces means that their breathing is labored. If you own one, you have to get used to the snorting and heavy breathing.

One would imagine that this breed came from the country of romance because of the name but the origin is English. They originally came from Nottingham and were particularly popular at the time when lace makers plied their trade and loved having them as little lap dogs.

The laziness of these animals is part of what makes them so easy to take care of. They do not need to be taken out on long, walks every day. They are perfectly happy to be in the home with their owners, often snuggled closely beside them or on their laps. They do not battle with obesity and remain healthy with only a short walk every now and then.

These dogs become cold quickly because they have only one coat. They enjoy the warmth of being close to a human or cuddling up in a blanket during winter. These dogs do need extra layers, especially if they go out in the cold. Owners often dress them up because of this.

While some dogs enjoy water and love swimming, these dogs do not. They hate water and battle to swim with their short little legs. Owners need to take this into consideration if they have pools or live near water. The puppies often come with hefty price tags because breeders have to breed them specially and they may be difficult to find.
