MAKING YOUR DOG SMART AND INTELLIGENT

By Joe Maldonado

It is sometimes difficult to know if a dog is smart or not when during training. The way a dog displays intelligent is actually dependent on the efforts and determination an owner puts during the dog training process, so a dog actually might be very smart in the inside not having the right training on attention that he deserves. It is wrong to think that the only thing in your dog's mind is what the next meal will be. According to recent research, a dog with an average intelligence is a clever as a two year old human child. It is has also been concluded and tested that a dog can learn as much as 165 words and gestures and perform some basic math. So how do you use these inert abilities to make your dog the Einstein of their kind?

To make your dog smart and improve their over all I.Q. you need to first understand that they're like kids. You need to threat them the way you train and improve the I.Q of your kids. Adopt the use of repeated verbal utterances to them by talking to them all the time. You also need to give them different experiences all the time, by taking them out to recreations, events, and those places that there presence will not be a threat to others. Activity places like parks and amusement centers are a way to start. The more the dog has to think about the busier the dog becomes, mentally and physically, and the brighter the dog become too.

Another important technique in making a dog intelligent is to socialize him. You must start the socialization effort right from the time the dog is just a little puppy. Socializing will help your dog to develop intricate intelligence that will make them calmer and more adapted to new situations around them. Having them around the main house household, and taking them along when going for a family or friends visit is one of the best ways to start this. When they are raised in this kind of way right from little, they naturally blend along as they grow. When this is coupled with the ongoing dog training exercise, it will stimulate there mind and thinking faculty.

When a human being wants to increase there out put at work or study, they are advised to take adequate rest along with a good feeding habit. The same thing applies to the canine intelligence. You need to allow your dog warm and refreshing sleep in a safe and quiet environment. This should go along with quality and well balanced meals. You can introduce the application of certain brain function boosting supplements that are useful and had been successful to human beings e.g. the omega 3 fatty acid that is found in fish oil. Quality dog training without proper diet may result in poor output. Don't threaten your dog or do anything that will make him fear you. You'll find him difficult to train. Relax with him and make the play time fun. Overdoing the process might not end in good result; let everything be fun and exciting.
