When you decide to get a dog, get him a suitable bed. For this purpose, the best choice is a crate. Get a large one, and set it on some quiet location, preferably in a corner of the kitchen or living room. At the bottom of the basket, put an old blanket. Wrap the edges of the basket with one rolled blanket, so the puppy will be more comfortable.

Buy a few rubber toys, not too small or too large, for him to chew. Every dog needs to chew something, it's good for his teeth, and it's better if he has something to chew in his basket. Make sure to give them fresh food each and every time, and don't ever leave it in a bowl, uneaten. Change his water regularly, and make sure his water bowl is always full.

Find a good vet and make sure that your puppy has received all the necessary vaccinations. Make sure he can not reach and chew different cables and plants inside. Check your fences and cover the pool before you leave your dog in your yard. Have patience and devote a lot of love and care for your little pet. Use his name very often, so he could remember it.
