Cavaliers are very friendly and are lap lovers while the Bichon Frise is more charming and independent. For many it is a toss up whether you will get a very friendly cavachon or one that will not give you the time of day and just be plain mischievous and playful.

Prices do vary for this breed, with some reaching as high as six hundred dollars. However, most will agree that average prices are anywhere in between two hundred and five hundred dollars. If you really want good deals, then a trip to the local animal shelter might see you through.

A unique characteristic of this pooch is that it is known to be hypoallergenic. That means that your allergies will not be triggered or made worse by this dog being near you. It is one of the few recommended breeds by veterinarians for those who love dogs but have fear of allergies being triggered or new ones being developed.

Many have found the crate method to be much more effective. Strategies and tips on how to use the crate method can be found in the Internet in abundance.

High maintenance is the word when it comes to this breed. Grooming can actually begin once the puppy reaches eight to nine months old, but you should start regular combing even when they are young so they will get used to it and not always fret about. Make sure they get plenty of water though as they can get quite active at times. In the summer and hot months always make sure they get more water than usual as to avoid dehydration and dehydration related problems.
