There are those birds that live in the forest whereas others reside at home. Wherever they stay, they require to feed thus one must develop a strategy of how to do it. For those who live in forests, the natural habitat provides a way that they can feed. Tourists and even researchers get the chance to visit the wild and see these animals. They can also found in national parks.

To maintain the flying creatures in the parks, they must be fed well or otherwise they will migrate. Each of these creatures feed on different things. There are those that feed on meat like the eagles and the vultures, others will feed on insects, nectar and the majority feed on grain like sunflower seeds, millet and sorghum. It is not good to throw the grains on the ground for them to pick.

The best and recommended way is of building channels where the food will be kept and the mammals will eat from there. The channels must be regularly cleaned to remove all the dirt and disinfected to kill germs. Leftovers should not be allowed to stay in them at any time. These channels are mostly made of wood and metals. These channels should be large enough to avoid congestion.

When you are buying these channels, it is vital to ensure that they are safe for use by the animal. They ought to have well fixed edges tat are not likely to prick it as it is feeding. In case they are scratched, they may bleed and thus leading to a wound being formed. This makes it contract diseases that can be transmitted to other animals easily.

The food of these animals ought to be stored properly. Weevils should not be let to destroy the grains. Those animals that take meat should be considered too. Nectar needs to be artificially produced for those animals that feed on nectar. The food should also be kept in a cool dry place. This is to avoid molds and other bacteria from growing on the mold. Proper storage will ensure an animal consumes clean food that has no risks of diseases.

Water should be a component of each food that they are expected to have. Clean water should be provided to that effect. Water that has germs in it is very dangerous as it may cause diseases. You can put water for bathing in a separate place where they can go and freshen up once in a while.

These channels can be crafted from wood or even metal. There are two common types; the hopper and suet. They must be kept in places where flying animals can easily get access to. Having a songbird feeder is vital.
