For those who newly own them or who have jobs where the interact with them, there is much to learn regarding horse care. These beautiful animals are revered by many people, and many tips need to be followed to ensure that they are happy and healthy. These include having a wooden stall of the right size, ensuring that horses get plenty of food and water, taking the animals to the vet throughout the year, providing the animals with opportunities to exercise, buying polocrosse equipment for horses and making sure that stalls are clean. These will all be looked at more below.

There needs to be a stall made out of wood with the proper dimensions. A wooden stall is preferred as horses can potentially hurt their legs or feet by kicking on concrete stalls. However, as some horses chew wood up, guards that prevent them from doing need to be put in place. Also, stalls should have paddocks attached to them so that the animals could run around and play. Twelve by twelve stalls are sufficient in most cases.

Fresh water and the right foods are critical to horses' health. Automatic watering devices can be used for horses, but those taking care of the animals need to be wary of them. They do not allow one to monitor how much the animals drink, and they have to be checked on frequently. When horses are given water out of a bucket, at least 10 gallons has to be made available at any given time. Grains and hay are the goods fed to horses.

It is important that horses see vets a couple of times a year. The animals need to be given medications to prevent worms, and they also have to receive vaccines. Vaccinations are especially important when the horses are in boarding facilities, as these areas are breeding grounds for bacteria and disease.

The horses need lots of exercise preferably outside of their living quarters each day. On top of this, they need to be near other horses, as they do not do well when they are on their own.

It is critical that stalls are kept clean for the animals who live in them. This includes ensuring that urine and fecal waste is removed each day. Furthermore, flies are pests who frequently visit the horses' living quarters, and their presence has to be kept under control.

When it comes to horse care, much needs to be adhered to. This includes taking the animals for vet check ups, paying attention to their diets, providing them with exercise, and making sure that stalls are clean and the right size.
